(1) TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF LAMBETH WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, FOR RECREATION AND ARTISTIC AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS; (2) TO ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN AND MANAGE A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO CO-OPERATE WITH ANY LOCAL AUTHORITY OR OTHER PERSON OR BODY IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF THE CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT IN FURTHERANCE EOF THE ABOVE OBJECTS.
