THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THE HOMELESS AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE IN TORBAY AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS BY PROVIDING SUPPORT WITH NUTRITION, CLOTHING, ADVOCACY, LIAISON WITH KEY SUPPORT SERVICES AND THROUGH SUCH OTHER PRACTICAL SUPPORT AND SERVICES AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE. THE ORGANISATIONS DEFINITION OF VULNERABLE IS TO SUPPORT ANY CLIENT WHO PRESENT WITH ANY OF THE CHALLENGES LISTED BELOW: 1.PEOPLE WITH ADDICTIONS 2.PEOPLE ON LOW INCOMES. 3.PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY ISOLATED. 4.PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES,SUCH AS ANXIETY ,DEPRESSION AND PTSD . 5.PEOPLE IN RECOVERY. 6.PEOPLE AT RISK OR SUFFERING FROM DOMESTIC ABUSE . 7.THOSE PREGNANT,WITHIN THE CARE OF SOCIAL SERVICES . 8.PEOPLE SOFA SURFING,AT RISK OF HOMELESSNESS OR STREET HOMELESS . 9.PEOPLE NOT CONVERSANT WITH THE NEW TECHNOLOGIES. 10.PEOPLE COPING WITH ASSOCIATED ISSUES SUCH AS LOSS, GRIEF, DEBT ETC.
