Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY (?THE OBJECTS?) ARE: (I) TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE JEWISH RELIGION BY RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION AND TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN JEWISH CULTURE ETHICS AND CODES IN PARTICULAR BY THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ACADEMY FOR THE LEARNING OF HIGHER RABBINICAL STUDIES AND JEWISH LEARNING IN ACCORDANCE WITH STANDARDS AND RULES OF JEWISH LAW AND ESPECIALLY FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG MEN NORMALLY RESIDENT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. (II) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS, IN PARTICULAR AMONG MEMBERS OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY WITHIN GREATER LONDON AND SURROUNDING AREAS, BY THE PROVISION OF ASSISTANCE WITH COSTS OF WEDDINGS FOR THOSE IN NEED AND THE PROVISION OF SUCH OTHER MATERIAL OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE. (III) THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF GOOD HEALTH AND RELIEF OF SICKNESS BY THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING, ADVICE AND SUPPORT TO THOSE SUFFERING OR AT RISK OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, DEPRESSION OR RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS. (IV) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN THE JEWISH TRADITION, BY THE PROVISION OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO THOSE TRAINING AS TEACHERS AND GRANTS TO SUPPORT TEACHING OF JEWISH TRADITION IN SCHOOLS. (V) THE ADVANCEMENT OF JEWISH RELIGION, BY SUCH EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE MEANS AS TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE (VI) TO ADVANCE AREAS OF THE RABBINICAL ART OF JEWISH SCRIBAL PRACTICE, ITS TEACHINGS AND TRAINING OF SCHOLARS IN THE AREA OF THE WRITING OF PARCHMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH JEWISH LAW. TO PURCHASE AND PROVIDE THE COMMUNITY WITH SUITABLE RELIGIOUS ARTICLES WRITTEN BY A SCRIBE.
