(A) TO AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS (TO BE KNOWN AS "SWALES SCHOLARSHIPS") TO STUDENTS OF CUMBRIA COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY TENABLE AT THE SAID COLLEGE OR ANY COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OR OTHER PLACE OF LEARNING IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OR ABROAD APPROVED BY THE TRUSTEES FOR THE PURPOSE OF STUDYING AGRICULTURE AND/OR FORESTRY. (B) TO PROMOTE GRANTS OR OTHERWISE ASSIST STUDENTS TO FURTHER THEIR EXISTING EDUCATION WITHIN AGRICULTURE OR FORESTRY BY TRAVELLING AND/OR STUDY WITHIN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND ABROAD. (C) TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AGRICULTURE OR FORESTRY IN ANY MANNER WHICH NOW OR HEREAFTER MAY BE CHARITABLE IN LAW
