Charitable objects
A THE OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY SHALL BE TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE PUBLIC STUDY OF FAMILY HISTORY AND LOCAL HISTORY MAINLY WITH REFERENCE TO PERSONS LIVING IN OR ASSOCIATED WITH THE DISTRICT OF HARROGATE IN THE COUNTY OF YORKSHIRE.
B TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION, SECURITY AND ACCESSIBILITY OF ARCHIVE MATERIAL.
