Opera for Change was founded on a simple principle: to find new ways to share stories and music (the core of opera) with artists and communities, and to present public performances that entertain, educate and inspire. This led us to sub-Saharan Africa, where many communities have strong oral and musical traditions, and where we have met and collaborated with local artists and musicians.
