Charitable objects
The objects of the CIO are:
a. to advance the Sikh religion, in particular but not exclusively, by promoting the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib, for the benefit of the public worldwide;
b. the advancement of education, in particular but not exclusively, by teaching about the Sikh religion and the life and principles of Mata Sahib Kaur, in such ways as the trustees may from time to time decide, for the benefit of the public worldwide; and
c. to prevent or relieve poverty or financial hardship anywhere in the world, inspired by the exemplary life and values of Mata Sahib Kaur, particularly but not exclusively in India, by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare, livelihoods and other projects to enable individuals to be self-sufficient
