CONSTITUTION ADOPTED 15TH DECEMBER 1992
TO RELIEVE THE INHABITANTS OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF NEWHAM, PARTICULARLY THOSE OF KASHMIRI ORIGIN OR DESCENT WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS: 1.BY THE PROVISION OF ADVICE AND COUNSELLING ON SUCH MATTERS AS HOUSING IMMIGRATION EMPLOYMENT WELFARE RIGHTS AND SIMILAR PROBLEMS 2.BY THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN THE HISTORY CULTURE LANGUAGES AND RELIGIONS OF KASHMIR. 3.BY THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION THROUGH THE PROVISION OF ENGLISH CLASSES AND SUCH OTHER TRAINING SKILLS AS WILL ENABLE SUCH PERSONS TO OBTAIN GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT 4.BY THE PROVISION OF RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS 5.TO RELIEVE PERSONS OF KASHMIRI ORIGIN IN KASHMIR PAKISTAN IN CONDITIONS OF NEED AND HARDSHIP AND SUFFERING FROM A NATURAL DISASTER.
