Charitable objects
(1) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF QUALIFYING RESIDENTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR SOCIAL, RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE-TIME ACTIVITIES AND SO IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE. QUALIFYING RESIDENTS ARE THOSE RESIDENT WITHIN THE DEFINED BOUNDARIES OF BASILDON BOROUGH COUNCIL AND OTHER ESSEX LOCAL AUTHORITIES WITHOUT CONSIDERATION OF SEX OR POLITICAL OR RELIGIOUS VIEWS.(2) TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE CENTRE") WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND TO SUBSEQUENTLY MAINTAIN AND MANAGE, OR TO CO-OPERATE WITH BASILDON BOROUGH COUNCIL AND OTHER ESSEX LOCAL AUTHORITIES IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF SUCH A CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES AND PASTIMES BY OR IN CONJUCTION WITH THE ASSOCIATION.
