TO PROMOTE AND ASSIST THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF PEOPLE IN LIVERPOOL AND DISTRICT SUFFERING FROM ANY DISABILITY, IN PARTICULAR PROVIDING AND MAKING AVAILABLE SUCH SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND SPORTING FACILITIES AS MAY BE CONSIDERED CONDUCIVE TO HELPING MEMBERS TO REGAIN CONFIDENCE IN THEMSELVES AND TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SPECIAL AMATEUR EVENTS OF A COMPETITIVE NATURE, LOCAL OR NATIONAL, ARRANGED FOR DISABLED PEOPLE.
