The association keeps its members informed on all aspects of the conservation of historic buildings through an annual conference, regular lectures, visits and meetings. It publishes transactions annually and maintains a website. Membership is by invitation of the committee. Members are encouraged to introduce new candidates for membership.

ENCOURAGING RESEARCH AND PUBLISHING RESULTS. 2. COLLABORATING WITH OTHER SOCIEITES HAVING SIMILAR AIMS. 3. SUPPORTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TRAINING COURSES. 4. HOLDING MEETINGS, LECTURES OR EXHIBITIONS FOR MEMBERS OR FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
