Charitable objects

1. TO ACT IN AN ADVISORY CAPACITY FOR MEMBERS AND THEIR DEPENDANTS SUFFERING HARDSHIP OR IN NEED AND TO REFER APPLICATIONS FOR ASSISTANCE TO THE REGIMENTAL ASSOCIATION. 2. TO PROMOTE AND FOSTER ANY MOVEMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ARMED FORCES AND EX SERVICE PERSONNEL. 3. TO GIVE GUIDANCE TO MEMBERS AND THEIR DEPENDANTS WITH REGARD TO PENSIONS AND WELFARE PROBLEMS. 4. TO MAINTAIN A SPIRIT OF COMRADESHIP BETWEEN MEMBERS AND WITH THE VOLUNTEER RESERVE, IN PARTICULAR THE SUCCESSORS OF THE 4TH AND 4TH/5TH BATTALIONS THE ESSEX REGIMENT AND THE ROYAL ANGLIAN REGIMENT.
