Charitable objects

TO CARRY OUT AND IMPLEMENT PROJECTS DESIGNED TO RELIEVE SICK PERSONS THROUGHOUT ENGLAND AND WALES WHO HAVE BEEN ADDICTED TO OR OTHERWISE BEEN PHYSICALLY DEPENDENT ON DRUGS OR CHEMICAL PRODUCTS OR SUBSTANCES OR STIMULANTS OF A NARCOTIC OR HALLUCINOGENIC NATURE BUT HAVE RECEIVED MEDICAL TREATMENT THEREFORD OR UNDERGONE DETOXIFICATION BY PROVIDING THERAPEUTIC AFTERCARE FOR SUCH PERSONS BY SETTING UP CONTROLLED COMMUNITITIES IN WHICH THEY MAY DEVELOP THEIR PRACTICAL AND EDUCATIONAL SKILLS AND READJUST TO LIFE IN SOCIETY AS A WHOLE WITH A VIEW TO REDUCING THE LIKELIHOOD OF THE BENEFICIARY AGAIN BECOMING DEPENDENT ON DRUGS WHEN HE RETURNS TO AN INDEPENDENT EXISTENCE AND IN PARTICULAR TO FOLLOW A PROGRAMME TO THIS EFFECT DEVISED BY COLIN CLAYTON.
