B) TO PROMOTE AND ORGANISE RESEARCH IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THE SCIENCE AND PRACTICE OF WELDING AND CUTTING AND FOR SUCH PURPOSES TO UNDERTAKE, MAKE AND SUPERVISE EXPERIMENTS, TESTS, AND ALL KINDS OF RESEARCH WORK, AND TO RAISE SPECIAL FUNDS FOR THOSE PURPOSES BY MEANS OF ANNUAL VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS FROM MEMBERS AND OTHERS.
