Charitable objects

THE OBJECTS OF THE B.I.C.C. SHALL BE :- (A) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE BARROW ISLAND AREA OF BARROW-IN -FURNESS WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTS OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS. (B) TO ESTABLISH AND IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY CENTRE (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE CENTRE") AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE THE CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES PROMOTED BY B.I.C.C. AND ITS CONSTITUENT BODIES IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS
