Charitable objects
THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS SHALL BE TO RELIEVE THE NEED, DISTRESS OR HARDSHIP OF SERVING OR RETIRED MEMBERS OF THE RMR, OR THEIR WIDOWS, DEPENDANTS OR IMMEDIATE CLOSE FAMILY, WHO AS A RESULT OF DEATH, DISABILITY OR OTHER TRAGIC CIRCUMSTANCE, SUFFER NEED, DISTRESS OR HARDSHIP; THE RELEVANT CIRCUMSTANCES OF WHICH WILL NORMALLY BE IN PART OR WHOLLY ATTRIBUTABLE TO CROWN SERVICE. IT SHALL BE WHOLLY WITHIN THE JUDGEMENT OF THE MANAGING TRUSTEES TO DETERMINE WHETHER AN APPLICATION MERITS A FINANCIAL AWARD, AND IF SO, WHAT PROVISION IS MADE.
