Activities - how the charity spends its money
Enabling Cadets to achieve qualifications in both seamanship-related and other spheres (e.g. Health and Safety) and to obtain Duke of Edinburgh awards. Training and competing with other Sea Cadet Units in sporting activities. Raising funds towards a new Unit Headquarters, equipment purchases (sailing dinghies and a RIB) - in addition to supporting running costs.

Charitable objects
The charitable purpose of the Unit (the Purpose) is to promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme and in accordance with the principles, ethos and practices of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC).
