MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED 6TH NOVEMBER 1997 AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTIONS DATED 31ST OCTOBER 2001, 27TH JUNE 2002 AND 24 AUGUST 2005.
1. PROMOTE AND ADVANCE THE WELFARE, EDUCATION, TRAINING AND ADVANCEMENT IN LIFE OF PERSONS WITH LEARNING AND OTHER DISABILITIES (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS BENEFICIARIES) SO AS TO ENSURE THAT AS FAR AS POSSIBLE THEY MAY DEVELOP AS INDIVIDUALS AND AS MEMBERS OF SOCIETY AND THAT THEIR DISABILITIES MAY BE RELIEVED. 11. PROVIDE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FACILITIES FOR THE RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF BENEFICIARIES SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND SP CAPACITIES AND IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE. 111. RELIEVE POVERTY, DISTRESS AND SICKNESS AMONG BENEFICIARIES AND THEIR FAMILIES.
THE EXPRESSION "LEARNING DISABILITIES" SHALL MEAN PERSONS WHO HAVE A SIGNIFICANTLY GREATER DIFFICULTY IN LEARNING THAN THE MAJORITY OF PERSONS.
