TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC BY UNDERTAKING RESEARCH WHICH EXPLORES THE HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT AND CHARACTER OF NORTH ATLANTIC CIVILIZATION; THE HISTORICAL AND CONTEMPORARY LINKS BETWEEN GREAT BRITAIN AMERICA AND CANADA IN TERMS OF CULTURE, TRADE, POLITICS AND INTELLECTUAL LIFE IN GENERAL; THE NATURE OF THE CONTEMPORARY PROBLEMS FACED BY THE NORTH ATLANTIC NATIONS; THE EFFECT OF THE CONTEMPORARY PROBLEMS UPON THE NORTH ATLANTIC TRADITIONS OF CIVIL AND ECONOMIC LIBERTIES AND THE OPEN SOCIETY; AND THE PUBLIC DISSEMINATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH, PARTICULARLY, BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING:- (1) BY PUBLICATIONS CONFERENCES REFERENCE MATERIALS TO POLICY MAKERS THE MEDIA ACADEMICS AND STUDENTS AND THE PUBLIC GENERALLY; (2) JOINING WITH COLLABORATING WITH AND SUPPORTING OTHER CHARITABLE BODIES ENGAGED IN SIMILAR OR COMPATIBLE ACTIVITIES.
