Charitable objects
TO PERSONS UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE WHO, OR WHOSE PARENTS OF GUARDIANS, ARE RESIDENT IN UNITED KINGDOM OR WHO ARE ATTENDING OR HAVE FOR NOT LESS THAN 1 YEAR ATTENDED A MAINTAINED SCHOOL OR AN EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT IN THAT AREA AND WHO ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS: (I) IN AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS, EXHIBITIONS, BURSARIES OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TENABLE AT ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT APPROVED BY THE TRUSTEES. (II) IN AWARDING TO SUCH PERSONS GRANTS OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TO ENABLE THEM TO TRAVEL WHETHER IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OR ABROAD IN FURTHERANCE OF THEIR EDUCATION (III) TO APPLY SUCH YEARLY SUM AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT FROM TIME TO TIME IN PROVIDING SUCH SPECIAL BENEFITS OF ANY KIND NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY FOR ANY SCHOOL IN UNITED KINGDOM AS SHALL BE AGREED BETWEEN THE TRUSTEES AND THE GOVERNORS OF THE SCHOOL AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY (IV) TO EDUCATE AND ASSIST YOUNG PERSONS THROUGH THEIR LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL CAPACITIES THAT THEY MAY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY AND THAT THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED (V) IN OTHERWISE FURTHERING THE EDUCATION OF SUCH PERSONS
