CONSTITUTION ADOPTED 13 SEPTEMBER 2003, AS AMENDED 21 AUGUST 2004
1) TO RELIEVE POVERTY AND DISTRESS, TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS FROM AFRICA, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THOSE WHO ARE FRENCH SPEAKING, WHO ARE RESIDENT IN THE UK BY THE PROVISION OF ADVICE, ADVOCACY, COUNSELLING AND ASSISTANCE IN SUCH MATTERS AS HEALTH, EDUCATION, TRAINING FOR EMPLOYMENT, TRANSLATION SERVICES, HOUSING AND WELFARE BENEFIT AND SUCH OTHER SERVICES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DEEM NECESSARY WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR SUCH PERSONS.
2) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THOSE PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES..
