Charitable objects
THE FURTHERANCE OF SUCH EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE DIRECTORS SHALL DETERMINE AND IN PARTICULAR THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN SOUTH EAST ASIA INCLUDING; (I) THE RELIEF OF THOSE WHO ARE IN POVERTY BY REASON OF THE DISASTER; (II) THE EDUCATION OF INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS IN SOUTH EAST ASIA BUT WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE EDUCATION OF THE INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS WHO HAVE HAD THEIR EDUCATION DISRUPTED OR OTHERWISE ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY THE DISASTER; (III) THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE IN SOUTH EAST ASIA FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE VICTIMS OF THE DISASTER IN THIS CLAUSE AND IN THIS MEMORANDUM THE FOLLOWING DEFINITIONS SHALL APPLY:- "SOUTH EAST ASIA" MEANS THE COUNTRIES OF THAILAND, INDONESIA, INDIA, MALDIVES, SRI LANKA AND ANY OTHER AREAS AFFECTED BY THE DISASTER "DISASTER" MEANS THE EVENTS WHICH STARTED ON 26 DECEMBER 2004 COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE SOUTH EAST ASIAN TSUNAMI, AND WHICH CAUSED WIDESPREAD FLOODING AND DEVASTATION IN SOUTH EAST ASIA.
