Run drop-in information shop and training for the community regarding employment. Run evening classes and/or home work club for children of ages 7 to 11 years old. We will organise bi-annual visits to leisure centres. Training in basic skills to help find work. Fundraising events.

Charitable objects
(C) OBJECTS - THE CHARITY’S OBJECT (“THE OBJECTS”) ARE: 1.0 THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, UNEMPLOYMENT, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS AMONG NKANU COMMUNITY FROM NIGERIA AND OTHER IMMIGRANTS FROM AFRICA; AFRICANS IN UK. 2.0 TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF NKANU COMMUNITY, AND IMMIGRANTS FROM OTHER AFRICANS COUNTRIES, THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION, CULTURAL AND OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT; FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; 3.0 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF CLASSES, WHICH WILL SUPPLEMENT THE EXISTING SCHOOL CURRICULUM AND PROVIDE IGBO, HAUSA, YORUBA, ENGLISH AND ANY OTHER AFRICAN LANGUAGES. 4.0 TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF HOUSING ACCOMMODATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF NEEDY PERSON(S) SUFFERING FROM PHYSICAL OR MENTAL HANDICAP; 5.0 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF ASYLUM SEEKERS AND REFUGEES AND THEIR DEPENDANTS FROM NKANU COMMUNITY AND OTHER AFRICAN COUNTRIES IN ORDER TO ASSIST THEIR INCLUSION INTO THE WIDER COMMUNITY. 6.0 THE PROMOTION OF RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS HARMONY BETWEEN THE NKANU COMMUNITY, OTHER AFRICAN COMMUNITY AND THE WIDER BRITISH PUBLIC IN ORDER TO FOSTER MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND ETHNIC TOLERANCE.
