Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE COMPANY, BEING PARTICULARLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE AFRICAN COMMUNITY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM, ARE: (I) THE RELIEF OF NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS THROUGH THE PROVISION, OR ASSISTANCE IN PROVISION OF, MATERIAL AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, ADVICE AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO THOSE IN NEED OF THEM (II) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, PARTICULARLY ON SOCIAL OR FINANCIAL WELFARE ISSUES, BY PROVIDING TRAINING, INFORMATION AND ADVICE (III) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN AFRICAN CULTURE THROUGH THE PROVISION OF INFORMATIVE ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS INCLUDING ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES (IV) THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE TO FIND EMPLOYMENT (V) THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF PUBLIC HEALTH IN GENERAL (VI) THE PROMOTION OF RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS HARMONY IN ORDER TO FOSTER MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND TOLERATION (VII) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION TO THE PUBLIC WITH OBJECT OF IMPROVING INHABITANTS CONDITIONS OF LIFE (VIII) THE PROMOTION OF SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE AFRICAN COMMUNITY, IN THE UNITED KINGDOM, AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT.
