Activities - how the charity spends its money
The PARTNERSHIP hold public meetings 3 times a year to enable groups e.g. Police, Fire Service and the NHS Primary Care Trust to give presentations. The Committee meet monthly to promote the betterment of the buildings and environment of Birtley through the Best Value Review etc. We are renovating a building which we obtained through the Transfer of Assets scheme to become our Resource Centre.

Charitable objects
3.1 PROMOTE THE BENEFITS OF THE INHABITANTS OF BIRTLEY, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATIONS, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGION OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY BRINGING TOGETHER STATUTORY AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO IMPROVE THE PHYSICAL AND ECONOMIC CONDITIONS OF LIFE IN THE BIRTLEY AREA AND TO PROMOTE THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECTS OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS. 3.2 PROMOTE ALL OR ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. THE ORGANISATION SHALL BE NON-PARTY IN POLITICS AND NON-SECTARIAN.
