Charitable objects
1) TO PRESERVE THE HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTIONAL HERITAGE THAT MAY EXIST IN AND AROUND LANGPORT IN BUILDINGS (INCLUDING ANY STRUCTURE OR ERECTION, AND ANY PART OF A BUILDING AS SO DEFINED) OF PARTICULAR BEAUTY OR HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL OR CONSTRUCTIONAL INTEREST; 2) SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC REGENERATION OF LANGPORT AND THE SURROUNDING AREA INCLUDING THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE CONDITION OF LIFE IN SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES; 3) SUPPORT THE PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN SOMERSET AND 4) TO MAKE DONATIONS SO FAR AS THE COMPANY IS PERMITTED TO DO SO TO ANY OTHER CHARITABLE ASSOCIATION OR INSTITUTION FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES. PROVIDED ALWAYS THAT SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT MEANS; “DEVELOPMENT THAT MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE PRESENT WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE ABILITY OF FUTURE GENERATIONS TO MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS”.
