Ganga Prem Hospice is a spiritually-oriented charity whose aim is to work with and for terminally ill cancer patients. We provide medical, social, emotional and spiritual support for individuals and their loved ones as they face cancer and in their ongoing grief.Our current project is the construction of a fully equipped hospice in Rishikesh, North India, on the bank of the Holy River Ganga.

Charitable objects
3.1. TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH OF THE PUBLIC IN SUCH WAYS AS THE ASSOCIATION SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT, IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF SUCH OBJECTS:- (A) TO PROMOTE THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF SUFFERERS OF TERMINAL ILLNESS WORLD WIDE THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND PRACTICAL ADVICE. (B) BY ESTABLISHING MAINTAINING AND CONDUCTING DAY CENTRE AND/ OR PALLIATIVE CARE HOSPICE FOR THE RECEPTION AND CARE OF PERSONS, WITHOUT DISTINCTION, WHO ARE SUFFERING (AT ANY AGE) FROM ANY CHRONIC OR TERMINAL ILLNESS OR FROM ANY DISABILITY OR DISEASE WHETHER ATTRIBUTABLE TO OLD AGE OR OTHERWISE OR FROM ANY OTHER PHYSICAL INFIRMITY, DISABILITY OR DISEASE, AND BY PROVIDING MEDICAL OR OTHER TREATMENT AND ATTENTION FOR SUCH PERSONS AS AFORESAID IN THEIR OWN HOME OR HOSPICE. (C) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT, INFORMATION, ADVICE, VOLUNTEER LABOUR, OPPORTUNITY FOR MUTUAL LESSON LEARNING, OR ASSISTANCE IN SUCH PROVISION, FOR THE POOR AND NEEDY IN INDIA AND SUCH OTHER DEVELOPING COUNTRIES AS MAY SEEM APPROPRIATE FROM TIME TO TIME (D) RAISING AWARENESS IN THE UK AND OVERSEAS OF ISSUES AFFECTING PALLIATIVE CARE INITIATIVES OF TERMINALLY ILL PATIENTS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. (E) TO CONDUCT RESEARCH INTO THE CARE AND MEDICAL CONDITIONS OF SUCH PATIENTS AND PUBLISH THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH.
