Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING: 1. TO PRESERVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE OF SHANKLIN, THE BAY AREA AND THE WHOLE OF THE ISLE OF WIGHT, AND OF THE NATION, THE HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTIONAL HERITAGE THAT MAY EXIST IN AND AROUND SHANKLIN, THE BAY AREA AND THE WHOLE OF THE ISLE OF WIGHT THE HISTORICAL BUILDINGS OR ARTEFACTS THAT DEFINE THE CHARACTER OF THE AREA (INCLUDING ANY STRUCTURE OR ERECTION, AND ANY PART OF A BUILDING AS SO DEFINED) OF PARTICULAR BEAUTY OR HISTORICAL, ARCHITECTURAL OR CONSTRUCTIONAL INTEREST. 2. SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
