TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF CHELMSFORD, WHITCHURCH AND WESTBURY AND THEIR SURROUNDING AREAS ("THE AREA OF BENEFIT") THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES OR ACTIVITIES FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF GROUPS OR INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES OR ACTIVITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS; TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE LIVING IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT, ESPECIALLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES, SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR CAPABILITIES THAT THEY MAY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY; TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENTS; TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ARTS AND THE PRESERVATION OF LOCAL HERITAGE SITES; AND TO FURTHER SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL THINK FIT.
