Renewal North West is a Christian charity set up to help the long term unemployed break down barriers that stop them from gaining employment such as addiction, homelessness, lack of education and opportunity. We provide work experience and skills development as well as accommodation enabling people to rebuild their lives. We also provide low cost household items to those who need them.

Charitable expenditure
Some charities generate all, or a substantial part, of their income from investments which may have been donated to the charity as endowment or set aside by the charity from its own resources in the past. Such investments usually take the form of stocks and shares but may include other assets, such as property, that are capable of generating income and/or capital growth.
In managing their spending and investments charities need to strike a balance between the needs of future and current beneficiaries. They also need to take account of spending commitments that may stretch over a number of future years. To do this, charities will normally adopt an investment strategy designed to generate both income and capital growth. To maximise returns trustees may commit to investment strategies for several years.
Investments can experience large swings in value so trustees may, in a particular year, decide to realise and spend part of their charity’s capital or to invest part of its income.

Charitable objects
THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE GREATER MANCHESTER AREA IN SUCH WAYS AS MAY BE THOUGHT FIT, INCLUDING THE PROVISION OF WORK EXPERIENCE, SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING SO AS TO ASSIST IN GAINING EMPLOYMENT, AND THE PROVISION OF FOOD AND TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATION FOR HOMELESS UNEMPLOYED PERSONS. THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG PEOPLE LIVING IN THE GREATER MANCHESTER AREA BY PROVIDING SUCH PERSONS WITH ITEMS OF AFFORDABLE FURNITURE AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ACCESSORIES AND SUPPORT IN SETTING UP HOME, WHICH, THROUGH LACK OF MEANS, THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD. THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH BY SUCH CHARITABLE MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES FROM TIME TO TIME SHALL DETERMINE.
