ASAP empowers proactive women and youth in marginalised, rural South African communities to sustainably alleviate poverty by meeting the basic human needs of orphans and vulnerable children, developing community based organisations, training in financial literacy, developing enterprising food gardens and ending gender-based violence through activism, access to justice and victim support.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY(THE "OBJECTS")ARE THE RELIEF OF PERSONS IN NEED BY REASON OF YOUTH, AGE, ILL HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGES IN SOUTH AFRICA AND SUB SAHARAN AFRICA IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING BY: 1. THE ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF CHILD CARE HOMES, DROP-IN CENTRES, APPRENTICE SCHEMES AND THE PROVISION OF SPECIALIST ADVICE, EQUIPMENT AND ACCOMMODATION; AND 2. SUPPORTING THE WORK OF ASAP ONLY IN SO FAR AS THAT WORK IS CHARITABLE WITHIN THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES.
