The object of the Institute is to advance the education of the public in general on the workings of modern economies, particularly but not exclusively to increase understanding of the linkages between banks (which issue money) and the rest of the economy. The Institute organizes research conferences, promotes research (both written and online), and supports the educational work of the University.,
