To encourage greater understanding of the history and character of the Hundred Parishes, an area of 450 square miles of northwest Essex, northeast Hertfordshire and southern Cambridgeshire that is characterised by its rich and diverse heritage. Our website includes introductions to each parish, a series of walks from railway stations and opportunities for learning, conservation and participation.
