Activities - how the charity spends its money
Winnall Rock School helps change lives through music. The main service is a programme of music workshops for disadvantaged young people primarily located in the main areas of social deprivation within Winchester -Winnall, Stanmoore, Highcliffe and Weeke. In addition, WRS does outreach work with other organisations for young people such as Young Carers, Post Adoption, Leigh House, NAOMI House.

TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 10 AND 18 WHO ARE RESIDENT IN THE UNPARISHED WARDS OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE DISTRICT OF WINCHESTER CITY COUNCIL BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF MUSICAL EDUCATION AND OTHER ACTIVITIES RELEVANT TO LEARNING AND PERFORMING MUSIC AS A MEANS OF: (A) ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; (B) ADVANCING EDUCATION; (C) PROVIDING RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITY IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO HAVE NEED BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SUCH PERSONS.
