TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THOSE SUFFERING BEREAVEMENT WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE LOSS OF A RELATIVE THROUGH SUICIDE AND TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH OF YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE SUFFERING EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL DISTRESS WHO MAY BE AT RISK OF SUICIDE OR ANY SELF HARM BY:- 1.PROVIDING ACCESS TO A QUALIFIED COUNSELLOR WITHIN 48 HOURS IF REQUESTED AND GIVING THOSE IN NEED AN OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY TO A HARDSHIP FUND FOR IMMEDIATE AND EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE; 2.RUNNING AND ATTENDING NETWORKING EVENTS AND ONLINE FORUMS, GIVING SUPPORT, INFORMATION AND ADVICE; 3.PROVIDING A QUIET PLACE FOR NEWLY BEREAVED FAMILIES TO HAVE RESPITE AND TIME AWAY TOGETHER; 4.PROVIDING BEFRIENDING, EMOTIONAL AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT FOR BEREAVED FAMILIES; 5.GIVING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE ACCESS TO INFORMATION , ADVICE AND GUIDANCE AROUND THE COMPLEX ISSUES OF EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, SELF-HARMING AND SUICIDE; AND 6.ENGAGING WITH LOCAL AGENCIES AND CHARITIES TO RAISE AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF SUICIDE AND ITS IMPACT, WHILST PROVIDING EARLY INTERVENTION AND PREVENTATIVE SERVICES.
