Charitable objects
THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES OF THE CHARITY ARE, FOR THE BENEFIT OF CIRENCESTER (THE AREA OF BENEFIT) AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, TO: 1 ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION BY SUPPORTING LIBRARY FACILITIES (ADDITIONAL TO THOSE NORMALLY PROVIDED BY PUBLIC BODIES AND STATUTORY AUTHORITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES UNDER PUBLIC LIBRARIES LEGISLATION) AND BY PROMOTING THE APPRECIATION OF ARTS (INCLUDING MUSIC) AND 2 PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION, IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE PARTICULARLY FOR PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN OR VISIT THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND/OR PEOPLE WHO HAVE PARTICULAR NEEDS BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY OR POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES.
