Charitable objects
TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF A MUSEUM AND ARCHIVE TO BE KNOWN AS THE NUTHAMPSTEAD AIRFIELD MUSEUM FOR THE PURPOSES OF: A) COLLECTING, RESTORING, CONSERVING AND DISPLAYING TO THE PUBLIC ITEMS RELEVANT TO THE HISTORY OF NUTHAMPSTEAD AIRFIELD, INCLUDING MATERIAL RELATING TO THE HOME FRONT IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR; B) ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING A REFERENCE ARCHIVE FACILITY AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC RELATING TO NUTHAMPSTEAD AIRFIELD AND ACQUIRING MATERIAL FOR THIS PURPOSE; C) EDUCATING THE PUBLIC IN THE ROLE OF THE AIRFIELD, THE UNITS THAT SERVED THERE, AND THE ROLE OF THE LOCAL VILLAGES PLAYED IN THE WAR EFFORT IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR; D) RECORDING AND MAKING AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY AIR FORCE (USAAF) WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THEIR CONNECTION WITH NUTHAMPSTEAD AIRFIELD; AND E) PROMOTING AND ENCOURAGING RESEARCH INTO NUTHAMPSTEAD AIRFIELD AND ITS ROLE IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR.
