Activities - how the charity spends its money
The objectives of the Society are to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of orchestral music by the presentation of public concerts and recitals and by such other ways as the Society may determine. The orchestra rehearses at least once a week, for 44 weeks a year and currently performs four concerts per year in Huddersfield Town Hall.

Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY SHALL BE TO PROMOTE IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AND APPRECIATION OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF ORCHESTRAL MUSIC IN ALL ITS ASPECTS BY THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC ORCHESTRAL CONCERTS AND RECITALS AND BY SUCH OTHER WAYS AS THE SOCIETY, THROUGH ITS COMMITTEE, SHALL DETERMINE FROM TIME TO TIME.
