THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY WORKING WITH PEOPLE IN LEICESTER WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR ETHNIC ORIGIN, GENDER, RELIGION AND CULTURAL TRADITIONS (IN PARTICULAR, WOMEN FROM THE BME COMMUNITY) TO PROMOTE THEIR SELF-ESTEEM, MENTAL HEALTH AND ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY BY: A. PROVIDING SOCIAL ACTIVITIES THAT RELIEVE LONELINESS, DEPRESSION AND ISOLATION; AND IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH TO ENABLE THE WOMEN FROM THE BME COMMUNITY TO BE SOCIALLY ENGAGED AND PARTICIPATE MORE EFFECTIVELY WITH THE WIDER COMMUNITY; B. PROVIDING INFORMATION REGARDING VARIOUS SOCIAL AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR THE COMMUNITY AND ENABLE THE WOMEN TO MAXIMISE THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ENGAGING WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDERS TO HAVE THEIR NEEDS ADEQUATELY SERVED. C. PROVIDING WORKSHOPS AND SUPPORT ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS AND IMPROVE THEIR CONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM AND THEREFORE GIVE THEM THE ABILITY TO ENGAGE FULLY WITH EVERYBODY IN THE SOCIETY”
