Charitable objects
1) TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE AFGHAN COMMUNITY IN NOTTINGHAMSHIRE BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID COMMUNITY, OTHER LOCAL RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR EDUCATION, CULTURE, RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS AND HELPING THEM INTEGRATE INTO THEIR COMMUNITY, INCLUDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE. 2) THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ISLAMIC FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TENETS, PHILOSOPHY AND IDEOLOGY OF MODERATED SHIA ISLAMIC BELIEFS AND PRACTICES. 3) THE PROMOTION OF RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS HARMONY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: A) PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE AND MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND RESPECT OF THE CULTURE, BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF DIFFERENT RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS GROUPS INCLUDING AWARENESS OF THEIR DISTINCTIVE FEATURES AND THEIR COMMON GROUND TO PROMOTE GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS GROUPS; B) WORKING TOWARDS THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF RACE OR RELIGION.
