Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF BRECON, POWYS AND THE SURROUNDING AREA THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES FOR REASONS OF YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES OR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS. TO ENSURE THAT THE OLD MOD PLAYING FIELDS AND PAVILION AT BRECON ARE MAINTAINED AS AN EXCELLENT FACILITY WHICH ARE AVAILABLE TO THE WHOLE COMMUNITY OF BRECON AND DISTRCIT FOR THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR AMATEUR SPORT AND RECREATION. PARTICULAR EMPHASIS WILL BE PLACED ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SPORTS OF CRICKET, RUGBY, FOOTBALL, TENNIS AND CANOEING AND AN ADDITIONALLY ASSOCIATION WILL PROVIDE ACCESS AND SUPPORT FOR LOCAL SCOUTS AND GUIDES ASSOCIATION BY ALLOWING THEM OPEN ACCESS TO LAND SUITABLE FOR CAMPING AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES. FURTHER EMPHASIS WILL BE PLACED ON PROMOTING DISABILITY RELATED SPORTS AND RECREATION. THE PLAYING FIELDS WILL BE MAINTAINED FOR THE USE OF ANY AFFILIATED AMATEUR SPORTING OR RECREATIONAL ORGANISATIONS. AFFILIATION WILL BE OPEN TO ALL RECOGNISED COMMUNITY AMATEUR SPORTING AND RECREATIONAL ORGANISATIONS OR ASSOCIATIONS WITH EACH ORGANISATION/ASSOCIATION BEING REQUIRED TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY HAVE AN OPEN ENROLMENT POLICY.
