Activities - how the charity spends its money
Friends of Adlington Library aims to provide equipment for use by the public in the library. It provides entertaining and educational events in the library for the residents of Adlington and all the surrounding area. These events include talks, courses, evening events, and children's events. FoAL also assists the library's staff with organising and advertising their events.

(1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ADLINGTON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY SUPPORTING THE PROVISION OF A LENDING LIBRARY. (2) TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF ADLINGTON AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, FOR RECREATION, LEISURE TIME, AND OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS.
