To act as a centre for the teaching Buddhism (Theravada) as well as Meditation and Mindfulness. The charity works to enhance the psychological and social well being of community groups in the North of England and encourage fostering of harmony and cohesion among them. The charity also engages in organising Buddhist cultural events.

Charitable objects
FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO ADVANCE BUDDHISM IN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (A) FACILITATING THE TEACHING OF THERAVADA BUDDHISM AND TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE STUDY AND PRACTICE OF BUDDHIST PHILOSOPHY, MEDITATION AND MINDFULNESS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THOSE WHO PRACTICE BUDDHISM IN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND. (B) CONDUCTING REGULAR LESSONS IN BUDDHISM FOR DEVOTEES. (C) ESTABLISHING CENTRES WHERE THOSE WHO PRACTICE BUDDHISM IN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND CAN VISIT TO WORSHIP AND DISCUSS BUDDHIST PHILOSOPHY AND PRACTICE MEDITATION & MINDFULNESS. THIS WILL ACT AS A CENTRE OF LEARNING WITH ACCESS TO RESOURCES FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO FURTHER THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF BUDDHIST PHILOSOPHY. (D) ORGANISING FESTIVALS RELATED TO BUDDHIST TRADITION FOR THOSE WHO PRACTICE BUDDHISM IN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND. (E) PROVIDING RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES FOR BUDDHIST MONKS TO TEACH AND PRACTICE BUDDHISM.
