FRAME achieves its aims by advocating the 3Rs of Russell and Birch - Refinement, Reduction and Replacement. FRAME promotes the elimination of the need to use laboratory animals through various activities including campaigning, publication of a scientific journal ATLA, laboratory research through FRAME's own research laboratory and through its educational work.
