THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF AMATEUR SPORT AND THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF DARTMOUTH, THE SURROUNDING DISTRICT AND THEIR VISITORS BY THE PROVISION OF A PUBLIC SLIPWAY INTO THE RIVER DART.
