Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (A) THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF POVERTY OR NEED FOR THE BENEFIT OF SINGLE PARENTS WHOSE RELATIONSHIPS HAVE BROKEN DOWN AND THEIR CHILDREN, BY: (I) PROVIDING ASSISTANCE THROUGH CONCILIATION FOR SUCH SINGLE PARENTS AND PROVIDING ADVICE AND HELP IN THE SETTLEMENT OF DIFFERENCES OR POTENTIAL DIFFERENCES OVER ASSOCIATED MATTERS SUCH AS CUSTODY AND ACCESS TO CHILDREN AND FINANCIAL MATTERS. (II) PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION, ADVICE, PRACTICAL, EMOTIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT AND COUNSELLING; AND (III) THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FREE LEGAL ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE TO SINGLE PARENTS WHO, THROUGH THE LACK OF FINANCIAL MEANS, WOULD BE UNABLE TO OBTAIN SUCH ADVICE AND SERVICES. (B) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF SINGLE PARENTS IN VARIOUS SUBJECTS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY OFFERING DISCOUNTED CERTIFIED DISTANCE LEARNING COURSES.
