1) TO PRESERVE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE NORTHERN BELLE, A HERITAGE WOODEN PASSENGER FERRY, AS A VESSEL OF HISTORIC INTEREST. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF LOCAL MARITIME HISTORY IN THE TAMAR VALLEY, BETWEEN CORNWALL AND DEVON AND OTHER SUBJECTS OF EDUCATIONAL VALUE DESIGNED TO PROMOTE AN INDIVIDUAL’S CAPABILITIES, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH PROVISION OF A FLOATING CLASSROOM AND OTHER FACILITIES ABOARD THE PRESERVED NORTHERN BELLE VESSEL.
