THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PROMOTE THE PREVENTION OF SUICIDE, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY AMONGST YOUNG PEOPLE BY: - ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC INTO THE CAUSES AND EFFECT OF SUICIDE AND SUICIDE BEREAVEMENT; AND - OFFER SUCH ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLE AT RISK OF SUICIDE, THEIR FAMILIES AND THEIR CARERS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BY ACTING AS A SIGNPOSTING SERVICE TO OTHER CHARITIES AND AGENCIES THAT OFFER APPROPRIATE HELP, SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE.
