Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PERSONS AFFECTED BY DOWN SYNDROME, THEIR PARENTS, CARERS AND SIBLINGS, PRIMARILY IN THE ESSEX AND LONDON AREA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: PROVIDING DANCE GROUPS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH DOWN SYNDROME AND THEIR SIBLINGS. PROMOTING MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH WITHIN DANCERS WITH DOWN SYNDROME. PROVIDING A MUCH-NEEDED SOCIAL NETWORK FOR PARENTS, CARERS AND PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME AND PROJECTING A POSITIVE IMAGE OF DISABILITY AND PROJECTING A POSITIVE IMAGE OF DISABILITY TO THE PUBLIC, ENCOURAGING THEM TO SEE THAT PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME CAN ACHIEVE MANY THINGS.
