TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY ACTING TO REDUCE THE SOCIAL EXCLUSION OF PEOPLE (PARTICULARLY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, OLDER MEN), WITHIN CAMBERLEY, SURREY AND THE SURROUNDING DISTRICT. TO LESSEN THE ISOLATION AND RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF THOSE (PARTICULARLY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, OLDER MEN) WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, AND ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY AND TO BUILD FRIENDSHIPS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN WHICH THEY CAN MEET TO UNDERTAKE A RANGE OF CREATIVE, PHYSICAL OR RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES, LEARN OR PASS ON SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE, AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER SOCIALLY. TO PROVIDE A WELCOMING AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT TO ENCOURAGE THE PARTICIPATION OF THOSE WHO WOULD OTHERWISE BE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED OR WHO ARE RELUCTANT TO SOCIALISE. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CONSTITUTION, 'SOCIALLY EXCLUDED' MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, PARTICULARLY AS A RESULT OF ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: UNEMPLOYMENT; FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; ADVANCING AGE; PERSONAL BACKGROUND OR DOMESTIC CIRCUMSTANCES
